Facets of Moral Evil

New Interrogation Details Emerge
I can not cry for a Humanity that would hold its own in bondage, servitude, in Animal Cruelty. These are not my countrymen, not children of my Mother’s land. I am not the son of Love, no – I desire their suffering, their anguish. And these, they are without human conscience – a dog knows when to hold its tail between its legs; These men and women are the devil we have been told of in churches and from Presidential Pulpits.
I understand those who would defend a new president, one who broke the boundaries of color – but I also remember a King who said, “An injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” This is none other than a glaring injustice, and it’s continued existence, left to fester and rot, will destroy the body of our nation as a cancer riddles the body of its victim.

Men better be without tongues and organs and powers, than not use them sovereignly. If it be not safe to entrust self-government of speech to mankind, there had better not be any mankind. Slavery is worse than non-existence. A society involving it is worse than none. The earth had better go unpeopled than inhabited by vassals.
Nathaniel Peobody Rogers, from the essay “Speech”

I can not profess a belief in any God that does not intervene where questions of Moral Evil stand unanswered. I can not profess a belief in any nation that does not hold it’s own to account, where grave deeds and assaults upon Morality are concerned. A government that would allow, even twist the lines of reason to allow, such Moral Evil has no validity, no foundation to stand upon. When action so diverges from professed belief, I can only conclude the beliefs to be merely professional, without corporeal or spiritual understanding.
If a nation of laws will allow this, there is no injustice that will be disallowed – and that nation is a threat to justice everywhere.
