dancing on water

were i to allow you to suffer
at the cost of your soul,
i would have learned nothing
of the minor suffering
payed out from my soul.

you mustn’t change a thing,
not a thing at all.
you must simply keep going!
this doldrum of ambition
from waiting and waiting
is over – you are set in
your soul’s direction.

were i to ignore your desires
at the cost of your love,
I would have learned nothing
in a lifetime of desires
my soul has never wanted.

You mustn’t always let the day in;
if you’re in favor of the night,
you must simply pass around it!
you are a dancer, of fine grace
and your agility is unassailable –
you can not help how you bound
through the rocks of difficult shores.

you must only release yourself
of desire to stand on the rocks
to float away in the currents of life,
sailing the winds of your soul’s ambitions
on the exploring feet of a dreamer.
